CLUB HOUSE Lets see who keeps an eye on here as well as the notice board. The club sporting trophy has been requeasted to be shot for on Monday 27th December. It will be over 24 speet and 26 in the grouse butt. All club trophies are challenge trophies, every club member can challange the holder to shoot for that trophy ( after three months of been won ). Which means Kevin has just challenged John to a shoot on Monday 27th. Which means the sporting trophy could be up for grabs by any paid up club member on that Monday 27th. Club trophy shoot days don`t seem to have much appeal of late so, unless anyone has any objections we are going back to the old way where a club member can challenge the last winner to shoot for that trophy after three months of been won BUT it will be awarded to the club member who scores the most on the day. If you are coming on the 27th give me a bell or an email. Happy Christmas to all. Mike, John, Albert an all
MAY BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY. THE CLUB HELD A CHARITY SHOOT IN AID OF YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE. ----
The day was well attended and supported by the members of the club. The competition was shot over 50 targets, 25 Skeet and 25 Speet. The targets were set by the acting manager John and were testing but very enjoyable. In the Mens comp first place and the trophy was taken by Mick Burnand Jnr who just pipped Geoff Barker who took a bottle of champagne as runner up. The Ladies comp was not as cut and dried however, Lisa ? and Linz ? both shot the same score. The shoot off should have been a simple matter to decide the winner from the runner up but it was not to be. Both Ladies lifted their game and watched by all the members proceeded to draw three times before Linz ? finally hit one more target to take the winners shield and Lisa was awarded the shield for runner up. The day was enjoyed by the members and the real winner was the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Mike Burnand.
