The North Yorkshire Shooting School is run by Mike Shipley and was set up in 1974 by Mike and a few like minded friends interested in clay shooting. Starting as a club run ground untill turning commercial a few years later. For almost 20 years we have concentrated on teaching the sport of clay target shooting to those who wish to improve. Just phone 07966 387 273 or email clayshooting@tiscali.co.uk                     Our private party events run along the same lines as a tuition day where everyone is taught to shoot properly as well as safely.You don`t have to join the club to shoot here, if you are in the area on holiday or buisness you are more than welcome to drop in and have a shoot or just a coffee even. We are open every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon year in year out for practice skeet or sporting clays. The rest of the time is for tuition,coaching,parties etc. We are also one of the easiest grounds to find and only about 20 minutes away from the A1 or ten minutes from the A19 and Thirsk. We are police approved for non certificate holders to shoot here under our instruction. . Whatever your interest in shooting Mike will guarantee a warm welcome excellent tuition and a great day out.
